We Want To Live | Bristol & Cardiff Rebellion
Our current system, built on economic inequality, extraction, the destruction of nature and exploitation, is driving us to extinction.
The system is killing us. We cannot go on like this.
Big problems need big solutions.
Join the Rebellion in London
Now until Thursday 10 September
The actions in Bristol and Cardiff may be over, but the Rebellion lives on in London. Join rebels from all over the UK in London from 6th -10th September.
During Rebellion, it is essential that we each take responsibility for ourselves and for those around us. This comes down to proper preparation prior to Rebellion.
Public safety is a central concern for us, and is at the heart of all our actions. The primary aim of the movement is to preserve life on the planet. Please follow the key COVID-19 precautions.
Climate and Ecological Emergency Bill
We know we are in an emergency and that the Government isn’t doing enough. The Climate and Ecological Emergency (CEE) Bill can change our course — making the Government act with the urgency we need and involving everyday people in a Citizens’ Assembly that has real bite.
In September, we’ll be asking all MPs to publicly back the bill. The overall September Rebellion aim is that UK Government must debate the CEE Bill.
REBEL FROM HOME
Rebels who may be more vulnerable to COVID-19 can still take part, even if it’s not in physical actions. There are plenty of ways you can contribute & rebel from home.
Sites will be suitable for wheelchairs. There will be viewing platforms, support areas, and all programming will have British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreters and hearing loops. Accessible loos will be nearby or provided by XR and there will be COVID-19 sanitation areas as well as arrestee support for disabled rebels. Any accessibility questions can be directed to [email protected].
Rebel Packs & Handbooks
Everyone can contribute to the rebellion in their own way. Find out how you can prepare yourself and your community to contribute as much as you can.
